The Raptors and Trail Blazers are discussing a blockbuster seven-player trade that would send Carter to Portland, ESPN's Stephen A. Smith has learned.
In exchange for Carter, Jalen Rose and two other unnamed players, Toronto would receive forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim, center Vladimir Stepania and guard Derek Anderson from Portland. Toronto proposed the multiplayer deal, Smith reports.

Currently both of these teams are hoping for an 8th seed in the playoffs. If this trade goes through, both teams will be hoping for an 8th seed in the playoffs. In other words, who cares
Ty Webb: You take drugs, Danny?
Danny Noonan: Every day. Ty Webb: Good. Then what's your problem? Danny Noonan: I don't know. |

I think Portland will benefit from this trade more than Toronto. Marketing wise especially. Say what you want about V.C, but he fills up the seats. The Raptors already have a hard enough time getting people to come to their games. Do you think they want to go see Abdur-rahim and D.A? Shareefs a solid player thats been on piss poor teams ever since he came into the league. That trend may continue if this trade goes down.
