Starting this thread to post some milestones and stats for those who enjoy that stuff.
Starting off with:
Ellis scored his 3rd 40 point game last night, the only one in the NBA who has 3 40 point games this season.
That included his 6,000 piont of his career. Does he get to 7k this year... maybe.
Anyone feel free to put stats or milestones here that they find interesting.

Nice thread, I like stats, though I usually pay attention to season stats, and I look to see if player can get enough of points, rebounds, blocks...etc., to be close to the top of all time greats.

Dirk Nowitzki just passed Lary Bird for 25 all time scorer, with 21,798 points. He needed 11 and got 17. He only needs 16 more points to pass Gary Payton for 24th. "Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard"

Jerry Sloan just passed Pat Riley to be the 3rd most winningest coach ever. Reckon he'll get to #1 within three years if he keeps going

Speaking of Sloan, I consider him to be a defensive minded coach, Beast. Too bad he'll probably spend all of his coaching days in Utah.

Kobe just passed Dominique Wilkens for the 10th spot on the NBA All time scoring list. He now has 26,695 for his career. Only active player with more is shaq who is in 5th place. Next for Kobe is to pass Oscar Robertson, he only needs 15 more points, so look for that next game.
Man I hate Kobe, but he is destined to be one of the biggest names to play, right next to MJ. MJ was an Icon though, everyone had his poster and played with their tounge out "Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard"

Kobe is at least a top ten alltime player and some can say he is top 5 material. He is no Jordan obviously, but the guy is not far off either. I think he'll get to #4 on the alltime scoring list at least, if not even pass Jordan ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

Celtics hit 3,000 victory, second team in NBA to do this behind LA. That number seems small to me, but I guess only 50+ years in the NBA and each team only plays 82 games a season.
Wonder what the Warriors are out.. anyone know? "Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard"

Next up, he needs 226 to tie Hakeem Olajuwon with 26,946. "Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard"

Dirk returned to action Saturday, only had 7 points but that was enough to put him past Gary Payton for 24th all time. He now has 21,818 and needs 22,195 (377) to pass clyde drexler for 23rd. "Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard"

In recording three of the Warriors' season-high 10 blocks Monday, center Andris Biedrins passed Clifford Ray on the franchise career list. Biedrins is now eighth with 467 blocks.

Dorel Wright scored his 2,000th career point tonight. This is his 7th season as an NBA Player, and if he keeps this up he will have more points this year, then his previous 6 combined. He is still young though, only 25.

Curry with his 2,000th point one game after D. Wright. It took Curry 2 years to do what it took D Wright 7. Ok not fair comparison, but still.

Ray Allen just passed Larry Bird yesterday on the all time scorers list. That is the second time this season someone passes bird.... i guess he is not so legendary like he used to be.
Anyways Ray now is in 26th spot with 21,795 and needs 21,814 (19 points) to pass Gary Payton. "Hard Work Beats Talent, When Talent Doesn't Work Hard"
