but does anybody remember when this guy and David Lee faced off in the High School Dunk Contest. Both players were committed to play for the Florida Gators and that Dunk Contest was pretty sick. White also tore it up in the NBDL Contest as well.

I don't remember White v Lee but I posted a vid of the NBDL contest in the slam dunk 2009 thread. Kid is the best dunker I've ever seen.
Apparently he was tearing up the D -League this year, so it's good to see him get rewarded. I was just hoping he would end up in a situation where he could play some significant minutes. Like Memphis, Washington or maybe even...the Warriors. Mr. Rand-McAlly

dang he reached the rim so easily. And he was actually behind the FT line. I wonder how much further back he can go.

James White KNOWS how to throw it down. He committed to Florida, though? How'd he end up going to Cincy, then?
I would like to see this guy in the dunk contest. He may not have a big name, but he can throw it down just as good and creative as anyone else. Don't hate yourself in the morning... sleep 'til noon.

like Gerald Green.. poor guy won the dunk contest and found himself nearly out of a job. same with Fred Jones almost. |

That is un-human like nobody should be dunking like that...just shows being over the top athletic doesn't equal a great basketball player or even a mediocre one since he is not in the league, though it helps there are other more important elements..But wow those dunks were beyond amazing.

I know! All the other guys who tried to emulate MJ and Dr. J all took off from inside the free throw line and still barely made it. This guy takes off from outside the free throw line and has room to spare. Hope he lasts til next season and joins the dunk contest. |
