Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports has a good article about this soon-to-be signing: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... &type=lgns

no way...james posey contained kobe as well as anyone could last year. the celtics dont have that this year or anyone that could step into that role. without bynum, the lakers are the same team they were last year minus turiaf. but it's not like perkins or KG are very dominant in the paint. josh powell could do well defending perkins while pau defends KG. Garnett is a much better defender than Gasol, especially against star bigs. Garnett, though not that big and strong, is able to push around the weaker gasol in all areas. Gasol could outplay him ofcourse but the chances of that are less than Garnett outplaying him. Pierce can also play with Kobe and did last finals series. Don't see anyone on Lakers sticking with RAllen, though Allen is less of a factor as he used to be, he still can score in bunches far better than anyone else on Lakers outside Kobe and Gasol. Main thing is that with Bynum out, the Celts are much bigger and stronger and wil get most of the rebounds ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

i said nothing about KGs defense. of course he is a better defender than pau, but offensively they are about even. what im saying is KGs dominance wont come close to Kobe's dominance in a finals series. paul pierce can hang with kobe, but not for the whole game. in last year's finals it was mostly posey's D that bugged kobe. if the celtics were without posey last year i GUARANTEE that the lakers would have won the finals. the celtics took a huge defensive hit when they let posey sign with the hornets...and im actually going to say that not having him this season is the reason they arent as good. I think the Celts can beat the Lakers, if Bynum is injured and in five games as well, as the are much bigger and better ebounding wise, as well as defense actually. If they sign Marbury, who knows what firepower he can bring. Rondo is better and always improving as well. Never know ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

that's the thing tho. he was injured last year and it took boston 6 games. now (compared to last year) the lakers are better offensively, not as good defensively. but the celtics are worse defensively and slightly worse offensively than last year. Yea, depends how you see it. I just see the star power in favour of the Celts and they have role players that fit in there, especially Rondo who is real good now ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |
