ok guys this thread is for anyone to 'fess up his predictions for any sport prior to the season, and whether or not they came true
i was wrong on:
-devin harris is nothing more than solid
-dan granger is a dime-a-dozen athletic sf
-ar would get more run in nellie's system
-chauncey = overrated
-bdiddy would singlehandedly turn clips around
i was right on:
-allen iverson sucks
-#1 pick should be d-rose and it aint even close
-shaq's still got it
-mayo is good
-eric gordon is good
-oh ya, eli manning = overrated
predictions for the future:
-nba championship goes to boston or cleveland...im going w/ boston
-greg oden will become a super beast
-ar will become the next odom, in a good way

This should be in the sports forum firstly. I agree about Devin Harris, I don't think any player has ever surprised me as much as he has this season. He was just a skinny, flapping fool before this season's metamorphasis. Billups is also sticking it to anyone that thought he ws just a product of the Piston's system, but I thought that he was good himself, so I'm not wrong on that one. Shaq has also been great and again made people take notice he is one of the greatest ever

celtics winning the championship?
not this year. you can tell they no longer have as much desire. just look at the spurs being unable to repeat. |
|
The Celtics won't repeat. I just can't see it happening. It'll be either the Lakers(sigh), Cavs, or the Suns. The Suns being my pick because I like their lineup. But I think they'll be tested since Terry Porter isn't exactly playoff genius.

Grangers 42pts on 13-27 shooting isn't very impressive
|
Yes and no. He shot a little under 50%, that's impressive. But then he took 27 attempts, making averaging that to only nearly a mere point and a half per attempt, not impressive. Don't hate yourself in the morning... sleep 'til noon.

But Granger has been awesome this season, top 5 in the nba ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

boston in the playoffs will be the boston that started 27-2 or whatever it was...i gotta stick with them as my top choice
|
Yeah, I know. I was just replying to that remark he made. That doesn't mean I take him for granite. He's a damn good player. Don't hate yourself in the morning... sleep 'til noon.

some other predictions:
-amare's never gonna be great -ricky rubio will be sad that the nba already has cp, deron and d-rose -dwight's never gonna be great on O -oden will be ready to begin his dwight-catchup-mission in 2 years |
And here it is: His one and only Brownlow was the best he'll ever have, as was the team he was playing for at the time ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

that's why he was so keen to leave I guess |
|
What do you expect, the team's second best player, also a Brownlow winner was in drug rehab and the whole team was under investigation for allegedly some players being involved in drugs and other illegal things. Judd saw it better to go some place that was seen as a little cleaner so his marketing image didn't take a hit ![]() ![]() migya make the ring fall on ya |

I dont know how this could be looked at anything other than a great statistical game scoring wise. Granger is a perimeter type player and he scored 42 on nearly 50% shooting......in my book that is one hell of an offensive night. |
