I find it incredibly interesting that no matter what time you go back you will see strikingly similar criticisms for players. As they occur.

Biased or wrongful criticism is something to be ignored. Interesting when facts are presented, even though some nowadays are skewed in one way or another.

Big finish by the Grizzlies today but the Kings let that one slip.

The Grizz are playing well and so are the Kings so far. Think the Grizz will be one of the top four teams in the West and maybe Houston will be as well, though I think they'll start losing some soon. The Raptors are better than expected and look like being a top four team in the East. The Bulls again look among the best and PGasol looks like he has returned to the level he was when he was near the best in his career. They got the right player Chicago. Denver looks awful and I thought they'd be better after doing well with the injuries they had last season.

The Rockets shot 28% field goals to beat the Thunder who shot 29% fg with a total score of 69-65. I'm glad I didn't see that game.

Rondo to the Mavs for nothing. That trade makes the Western Conference a little more interesting. That's a very good starting 5 they have now. Their lack of depth now is their weakness especially in the big man department.

Definitely a good trade for Dallas and they should be pushing to be a top 4 team. This could be the best loaded talent the West has had in a long time and the West has been loaded for over a decade.

Think our FO should have tried to get involved with Lee as a trade chip to get one or two good young bigs, like Henson or O'Quinn as mentioned in another thread. With Bogut going out for a while again a good defensive big would be handy.

Josh Smith waived. He could be a good pickup for Houston at PF or off the bench for Dallas. Meanwhile Detroit are commencing their rebuild/tanking.

Wow, what a surprise but probably good move for both Detroit and JSmith. They really should have looked to get some sort of value in return for him because they now owe him so much money for nothing. If Houston gets him, that could put them as close to the best team, if JSmith fits there. Hopefully Miami gets him and he stays in the East.

Josh Smith is apparently set to sign with Houston for the rest of the season. That, to me, will make Houston "maybe" the best team in the West, but that hinges on JSmith getting back to what he was in Atlanta, a big IF. If he plays the role of true PF and doesn't shoot from the outside too much, which I think is unlikely since Dwight somewhat clogs the lane, then JSmith can be effective.

I think that JSmith likes to shoot from the outside too much and this could turn into a disaster for both Houston and Josh Smith. His career could become a downgrade, never getting back to what it was and Houston, if they don't bench him and play limited if he doesn't perform well, will actually fall in the standings.

I think JSmith would have been better off in Miami where he would fit in a bit better and not have the opponents he will have in the West.

It's amazing that Houston can add Josh Smith and Corey Brewer to their team for nothing.

Great teams are able to add good players that fit needs to their team and Houston has done just that by the looks of it. JSmith just had a very good first game for them.

JSmith has had two straight awful games and Houston is losing. They might let him go themselves.

Cleveland has traded Waiters to Oklahoma City and acquired guards J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert from the New York Knicks. The Cavs received the Thunder's protected 2015 first-round pick. Cleveland also sent reserves Lou Amundson and Alex Kirk and its 2019 second-round pick to the Knicks.

Depending how he pans out, OKC may have gotten a good piece for now and the future, with Waiters. Shumpert is pretty good but JR Smith might be a headcase for the Cavs.
