Man, I am loving how old the Spurs are looking against the Hornets. Hopefully the Hornets can keep dominating in SA... its time for the Spurs to become a powerhouse of the past.

Damn......................obviously Im not watching these games, and dont really read the recaps or anything................but what are these guys doing to the Spurs? ie: how are they beating them so badly?
Sounds like they are just running rings around them on offense, and swarming them like............well, Hornets............on defense. |

Yeah man, the first game they held Duncan to like 5 points in 1 for 9 shooting. And yesterdays game they held Ginobili and Parker to single digits each I think. I know at the half they were combined for only 11 points. ![]() |

Yeah, the Hornets are not only are the Hornets shooting incredibly well, but they are not allowing the Spurs to take good shots. As a team the Spurs were not getting shots to fall in Game 2, and Duncan was non existant in Game 1. In Game 2 the Hornets shot lights out from deep at 58.8% where as San Antonio only shot 29.6%. And the most impressive stat is the turnovers and pts off turnovers. In Game 1 San Antonio commited 13 TOs for 25 pts, while New Orleans had 8 TOs for 10 pts. In Game 2 San Antionio had 15 TOs for 19 pts (they should be luck it was only 19) and New Orleans gave up the ball 9 times for only 7 pts!!!! What it seems to boil down to is that New Orleans is doing everything right... ![]() |
