Whether he's a sports car or a slugbug, he's the only rebounder Phoenix has - and will be getting a minutes boost from 24 to around 32 +. He averaged 11/6 in 24 mins - and showed great improvement in the playoffs. No Amare, no Amundson, his rebounding #'s [the only ones I really care about] could easily be 10 +.

What follows are 4 team previews.


Fine:

Starting five:
Chris Paul
Paul Pierce
Trevor Ariza
Kevin Garnett
Chris Bosh

Chris Paul and a bunch of forwards. The lineup can pass, but are they going to put the ball in the bucket? Quickness = Steals

Off the Bench:
Steve Nash
Jason Terry
Manu Ginobili
Marvin Williams
Greg Oden

Nash off the bench ensures the reserves are going to be passing a lot too. Good FT% guys too. Oden needs to get healthy to help team FG%.

X-factors:
D. Wright
Evan Turner

These guys can both supply all-around stats, but neither has a history of doing it in the NBA.

Overall:
lack of healthy centers. I didn't plan on using Centers much, but I wanted atleast 4 guys to play the position. Currently have only 2.

Relying on assists from sg/sf positions.

Zshook:

Staring Five:
Chauncey
Martin
Iggy
Durant
Camby

No low post scoring, but scoring overall won't be a problem. Good FT% but FG% isn't as good. Can spread it out and shoot threes all day.

Off the bench:
Nelson
Barbosa
Millsap
Brand
Frye

Some low post guys here help with FG%. Decent rebounders overall.

X-factors:
Yao Ming

How much time will he miss and can he be productive playing only half games? He can help in all the areas the team needs it.


Overall:
Looks to be in decent shape. 3 or 4 categories covered well, but where is that 5th category going to come from? Blocks? Assists? FG%? Will need one of the three.

Bodyguard:

Rajon Rondo
Joe Johnson
Lebron James
Chris Kaman
Joakim Noah

Complete starting 5. threes's from 2 guys. Blocks from 3. Steals from two guys. Rebs from atleast 3. Assists from 3. FG% from 4 guys. Pts from 2.5 guys. Only weaknesses are FT% and TOs.

Off the bench:

Felton
Gilbert
Chandler
Beasley
Landry

Smaller reserves but they all work to enhance the strength of the starting five.

X-factors:

JJ Hickson
Demar Derozan
Austin Daye

Three guys that can breakout this year, but if they don't, the overall team won't take a huge hit. Probably relying most on Hickson.

Overall:

Team is built on the strength gained from the front end of the draft. Can win 7 categories any week but is not a lock to win every week.

Coooach:

Starting five:
Aaron Brooks
Kobe Bryant
Brandon Roy
Gerald Wallace
DeMarcus Cousins

All guys can score. Brooks and Cousin's FG% cancel out, leaving team FG% fluctuating. Ball-handling duties are mainly left to Kobe and Roy.

Off the bench:
Jamal Crawford
Corey Maggette
Grant Hill
Antwan Jamison
Emeka Okafor

Solid guys to make up the bench, in fact, most of them come off the bench on their real teams.

X-factors:
Brendan Haywood
Tiago Splitter
James Harden

Not a flashy group but if they each get playing time, they can contribute at the "off the bench" level.

Overall:
Team lacks true point guard, leaving assists as barely average.

Nothing spectacular about the team overall - but nothing horrible about them either; OVerall ceiling is maybe top 3 or 4 in the league.

Don't get the point of the starting 5 .. everyone except for 2 or 3 guys starts.

Really, Beast, don't get uptight, noone knows what will happen when the season starts. I do think RLopez will be better than last season, he will get the chance to most likely and he is a player I like, but your whole team is a whole is not looking too good to me
