Two solid picks. Manning will be as good as ever... and I don't expect Jennings to slow down. Maybe it's a big high for him, but he won't be there with your next pick, so it's a pretty understandable choice. |

Cheers bada and sorry joel man. Appreciate it bada that you'd use your moderator skills and delete that post so some domino affect of whinging and complaining didn't happen when subsequent picks were made out of order and Joelman... totally my fault. i deleted the info about snakestyle in post 1 of this thread because the participants had been set and thought everyone must of read the rundown of how this draft would go. But anyways joel... landing Payton Manning is HUGE!!! Definately better choice then Drew Brees and Tom Brady IMO... im suprised he slipped so far. Drew Brees is solid but i doubt he'll put up numbers like that again and Tom Brady coming off a injury. I think you got a definate steal there man!! |

Well I completely disagree with you pawno on brees... i dont get how you can question the 3rd best QB these last few years with his numbers. I think brees will be as good as last year (he's got tons on weapons). I do agree completely with you on Manning over Brady. A Knee injury then an infection would scare me from picking him the first 3 rounds, let alone over a safe pick in manning. I think always next is taking a massive risk that he will be the same brady. With that said, i am taking a lil risk in a 30 year old WR who is so dependant on his speed, in Steve Smith (Panthers). He did have his best season last year in 4 years (and missed 2 games), so thats primarily the reason why i am picking him. |

Sorry guys but i forgot to mention in the 1st post that will be having kickers as part of the competition... i thought i better let you all know as like Al Davis has been known to take Field Goal Specialists in the early rounds, i'm hearing out of Alameda that GSW United is taking Sebastian Janikowski with his 3rd rounf pick. William has informed me it has nothing to do with the mans kicking ability but more so to do that Seabass has been known to carry the date rape drug Fantasy and William wants a shot at a unconscious Jamarcus Russell in the locker room to play out all his wildest sexual fantasies

hmmm i think i need someone that can throw the ball pretty well.... sh1t....Al just called me and what he can say is ' Just Pick..babe'...and i said yes BOSS... with the 3rd round pick in 2009, Oakland GSW United select ' Matt Ryan from Falcon'....i skipped a lot good QB but i think he can do better especially with Tony gonzalez around and Roddy white....  |

Reggie Wayne is a great pick at this time. He's the clear go-to guy of Payton, so he should have another big season.
Not so sure about Ryan. I mean, I like him and think he's only gonna get better, but Atlanta's offense is built around Turner and Norwood, partly because their o-line is much better in run-blocking than passing downs. Still, Ryan is gonna have lots of weapons with Tony G, Jenkins, White and Harry Douglas, so it may prove to be a steal. |
