SFGate is reporting that the Warriors will acquire Troy Murphy from the Nuggets assuming the Carmelo trade goes down. Denver would get two of the following three players: B Wright, Radmonivic, Gadzuric. Essentially a swap of expiring contracts. I guess the W's want Murphy's rebounding?

Well, from what I read, Riley just denied all of that trade talk, when it comes to Murphy.
Though, he did say that he would trade our expiring if he get any valuable player or pick in return, otherwise, he's not gonna trade anyone. ![]() ![]() |

i thought riley wasnt go to make a trade, just to make a trade? seems pretty pointless unless they get a draft pick out of it.
"Losing is inevitably close to winning," Guber said. "They're inches apart. Drama. If you have drama, you've got a ticket to sell." "They're not real fans," Lacob said. "They don't have season tickets."

Yeah it seems Riley denied this soon after it was on SFGate and I posted it here. Murphy is rumored on ESPN to go somewhere along with a 1st-round pick, might make sense if we get our pick back from NJ. Aside from that, it's pretty much trading a giant douche for a turd sandwich.

I think it would be wise to acquire another pick or 2 in this draft with our expirings if we're not going to trade them for a player. Although there is no Blake Griffin in this years draft, there is a lot of talented players who could help fill our rotation. Or if we had picks we could trade up for a top 8 pick and get one of the bigger names in this draft like Jones III, Sullinger, Williams or Barnes.
Get Money. Get Paid.

I thought and said in another thread that the team could get Murphy and I think it'd make a bit of sense as well, at least short term. I'd prefer AB for Murphy

I'd like Murphy back here...
On offense, it'd help spread the floor more for 3 point threats!!! I can't really comment on defense, but that's never been our specialty. |

so i hear if carmelo ends up with the nets, there's a chance the warriors will pick up murphy's contract and bring him back to the bay. how would he fit in to the warriors line up if this happens? smart has some random ass rotations so i don't know what he would do with murphy.

There's already a thread for that: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=9739 EDIT: Anyway, I merged it. Arfurion, welcome to the board, just take a look at other threads before you open a new one. ![]() ![]() |

ESPN has the details of the trade here. They are mentioning that Denver gets our 2012 and 2013 second-round picks. Did the Knicks already have those, or are we involved in this deal somehow??

Okay did some digging and it looks like they were both part of the David Lee trade. Didn't know we gave them either of those picks.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=A ... buzz022211 We just don't want to lose the expiring contract's for nothing. Big plus if the deal give us one more PG. ![]() Mullin is the Ultimate Warrior |
