Yes, then I'd start to like em less: another thing that gives me pause now is Guber said he is going to appoint his son as Director of Player Operations. Oh nepotism is awesome, but then again, thats what you get when an entertainment mogul buys a team. This season is not a flop.

Rule of thumb: It's not what you know, it's who you know... Just part of the game. |
Was it Larry Ellison bid who was behind the idea of moving the franchise to AT&T Park in a purpose built arena on the shores of San Francisco? I'm guessing that idea might be put on the backburner with this investment group for the time being while Lacob and Gruber attempt to pay off some of this 400+ Million dollars they used to buy this team. Anyways with the San Francisco 49'ers all but guarenteed to leave for Santa Clara, perhaps the council of SF might be inclined to inject some coin into a Arena at AT&T park... I'm sure the building could be utilized for a professional NHL team as well. |

I wouldn't be shocked if they moved to SF, but they have a lease in Oakland for another five years or so, so if it did happen, it's going to be years away. I would think Oakland would fight like hell to keep them.
