The Ws played into the awful game plan of the hard to watch, sullen Pistons. If the other team sucks, as the Pistons do, and your team can't hit the outside shot, then go into Nelson mode and run their butts off the court. It might even wake up the team and get the shots dropping.
It is good to be able to slug it out now, a huge improvement from before, but you just can't do that with an inferior team because it gives them a chance. Sometimes you just have to get the game going fast when you can do that, as the Ws certainly can and the Pistons can't.
I don't like the excuse of cold shooting when there are options to work around that.

This reminded me of tonight's game a bit, the warriors were definitely the better team, ugly win but at the end our team was really just better

Though we are winning games we have to realize winning is new to us. It takes time to figure out how to win. The Lakers can switch pace at any time and do what it takes to win each game because they have been adjusting game plans and winning games for a long time. When a team who has lost as long as the Warriors begins to win, they often are ugly wins because it takes longer to transition to a game plan that works. It has only been 7 games and a win is a win. Eventually, these wins will become a lot prettier. But we have to be happy that when it has came down to it wehave showed up 5 out of 7 times so far and outplayed the other team.
