Steinmetz is tweeting that CJ Watson is going to Chicago in a sign-and-trade for a second-round pick. I guess this means we get another small trade exception.

PG: Rose / Watson
SG: Brewer / Watson
SF: Deng / Korver
PF: Boozer / Gibson
C: Noah / Miller

You don't mean Brad Miller do you Beast?

He signed with the Rockets.

Still, a pretty good team. Pity they couldn't get Reddick. Him and Korver could've shot 3s all game long.

I will miss his weird fro-hawk. And the fact that he kinda looked like one of the guys from the Pharcyde.

Who is our backup PG now? Ellis and Bell are both undersized shooting guards...

Maybe the warriors will give Jeremy Lin (Palo Alto's own) an offer now... btw, anyone know if Lin went to Jordan Middle School in PA... if so, we probably attended at the same time.

i don't think so... this is what i got from ESPN insider,

Harvard PG standout Jeremy Lin went undrafted. But the Mavs picked him up for their Summer League team and he impressed. (Check his highlights against John Wall and the Wizards here. Solid stuff.)

As such, it looks like the Mavs could have some competition for his services, according to Jeff Caplan of ESPN Dallas.

That Eastern Conference team Caplan alludes to below?

It's possible it could be the Bulls, Heat or Pacers, all teams in need of a PG.

I ain't even gonna lie; I hella wanted Yi Jianlian in that draft (think it was 07-08). I'm dyin for a raw Asian baller.

We need to look for one; Bell went to Utah.

Raja.

But Lin has impressed so far in the summer, surprised he was not drafted at all.

Lin has game, man. I don't care what anybody says. If he got more PT he would've put up more than solid numbers in VSL.

this is what Caplan of ESPN had to say about Lin
"As a true point guard, the 6-foot-3 Lin was more dazzling, and at times more productive, than Rodrigue Beaubois on the Mavericks' summer league squad. He opened more eyes with each performance. He is in contract discussions with the Mavs, Los Angeles Lakers and an Eastern Conference team. But his agent, Roger Montgomery, said Monday that new teams are now involved and that Lin is sorting through it. Mavs president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson was the lone NBA executive to offer Lin a roster spot for the summer league, and had designs on developing Lin's game with the Texas Legends, the Mavs' D-League affiliate in Frisco. But now Nelson has plenty of competition for Lin."
