My beloved Carlton in the Aust Football League. Not only does O'Hailpin knock Cloke out, he finishes him off with a kick! All in an intra club trial game!!!

That guy O'Hailpin is an idiot and should be thrown out of his team, at least for now, until he not only apologises wholeheartedly to his whole team and those affiliated with it, but the AFL in general. What a fool, kicking a team mate in a practice session pretty much within his own team

I appreciate the job the current moderators do, certainly better than I did, in that they get rid of the trolls nice and quick.

There are some great new posters (those that have been around for less than a year) and I did not mean a hit against them. This place just isn't the same as it is more controlled, even things like slightly vulgar language and that makes it more uncomfortable than it used to be.

Still a good place to be and like a bunch of friends hanging out

I wasn't around back when the Warriors were good so I don't know how the board was before, but I can say that I do like this board now for the most part. Sure there is a lot of complaining, but I'm sure that's just because of the situation our team is in. As for the openness, language and all that, part of the reason I decided to post on this forum is because it is somewhat civilized. I follow the Warriors, Giants, and Niners but don't post on the big Giants or Niners board because it's a constant bitch fest with people going at it all the time, there are tons more trolls that don't get kicked out, and if you think people get attacked and called names here, check out the other boards.

Damn, I do distinctly remember that this is an internet forum, where it is sometimes a little hard to get acoss sarcasm.

Ohh but of course, from those comments, the logical brain must assume I am a murdering, blood thirsty, disabled person mocking evil swine, so of course I would love to see Maggs and Crawford horribly injured or worse..............or maybe it was a joke..................or maybe it wasnt................or maybe you guys should dis-mount from your crystal unicorns, atop your ivory towers and realise that people actually have emotional responses to things and sometimes dont say what they mean or mean what they say.

So many apologies to the lords and masters of reserved judegement and just general "I am holyer than thou" ness.

Stick it to them Bigs

Can I just say, before the replies arrive.............that this isnt just about this comment of mine or this thread.

This is about how Ive seen this place disolve into the great people being reduced to one line posts, mostly containing smilies............and the rest are pretty much a bunch of "yes men" who allow for no emotional reactions and basically berate anyone who doesnt sit back and wait for enough time to prove themselves right, before they step out into the frightening world of making a statement.

In a place like this, those who reserve judgement and dont react in any emotional way to things, and worse still criticize those who do.............for me, are quite pathetic, and are essentially just affraid of being wrong, so they dont go out on a limb at all.

The result of this, is a board where not much is said, and if it is, its the same old sh*t (and opinions of others that they previously criticized) regurgatated in another way to make themselves look good and right..........and the worst thing is that they usually receive praise for this.

Its just boring as hell, and isnt really in keeping with the true spirit and purpose of a place like this............which is to discuss anything and everything, vent your frustrations, be yourself, react, try and feel understood and that you are not alone...............but sadly its just turning into a board of drone like sheep.

Ohh and one more thing, its all about the balance.............and we have lost that here.

I mean we all have a part to play in making this place work and generally be a fun place to come and talk...........you have the villains, the officious people, the smart ones, the emotional ones, the negative ones, the positive ones, the nutcases, the philosophers, the middle of the roaders, the sit on the fencers...........so many different types of people combine to make a place like this work, and I feel weve lost alot of the balance of that.

Since you brought it up, I have to admit - This place is not what it used to be and that is why I don't post as much and when I do, it is just a few words. We are not robots and though I understand censoring things and everyone trying to keep low toned and being what is now called civilised, when in fact it just is not speaking out, people have got to be people.

This forum was like a frat house about two years ago, maybe one and a half years ago, with honest conversation and even a cheerleaders thread going, where all the boys had fun without harming anyone.

Things aren't the same and though I'm very pleased that there are a new cop of members, many with very good writing skills and opinions, the more open style has faded, though not totally, but it is diminishing and will keep disappearing.

Still, I like the interaction and definately the fantasy leagues where we all interact well.

Keep the love and respect fellow members

Once again I have to agree with migya (can you believe it). I don't post as much anymore because the board has become much to personal on the posters. I think what bigs said about mags and crawfors is obviously humour. What he said is nothing to what was said about Pietrus a year ago but that was fine with the board because everyone hated him except me. I remeber being barbecued because i tried to support Pietrus and didn't go along with the staus quo.

BTW, did anyone see Monta step out of bounds last game? Just like Pietrus use to do but know one is calling him dumb.

coltaining makes a good point about the 300 best basketball players in the world doing something better than what we could ever do. I also agree that although I hate Stephen jackson's game i do not wish him bodily harm and I'm sure bigs does not either so lighten up everybody. Although I did enjoy the comments of Nelson being torn apart by wolves :)

A lot of us on this board has been ripped for one reason or another so i guess it is your turn bigs. I won't rip you because I enjoy your post, your passion, and your humour.

I was always a Pietrus supporter, right from the start
