Yes, Lakers have to match today if they want to keep him. Not sure what the time deadline is today.

Give us Turiaf already! I've been waiting all day for this sh*t. first I hated the move, then I was happy with the move, now I just want it to be done so we can move forward!

Lakers won't match offer sheet, Turiaf to play for Warriors
Updated: July 18, 2008, 9:53 PM ET

The Los Angeles Lakers will not match the offer sheet given to Ronny Turiaf, meaning the forward will play for the Golden State Warriors next season, ESPN.com's J.A. Adande reported Thursday.

Golden State offered Turiaf a four-year, $17 million contract offer, which would have boosted Los Angeles' payroll past the luxury tax.

Turiaf averaged 6.6 points and 3.9 rebounds in 78 games with the Western Conference champions last year, starting 21 games. The three-year veteran also blocks shots and plays strong low-post defense, two of Golden State's biggest problem areas.

All I can say is it's about time we finally get someone to match up against Boozer and the big boys.

Some people love defense and get off on big unskilled players shoving each other around, see merit in that, so here is one for you.

Hope he can keep up and not slow things down.

I am sure he will be good to come in and shut down big guys if they get going. The other way is to run the big slow guys off the court. That is the most fun thing to see.

Dont you just LOVE!!!.........that the first story and only story about us signing Turiaf..............is titled =

"Bynums Good Health, Makes Turiaf Expendable"

And spend the whole article talking about the f*cking Fakers..............

What is up with these a*sholes??? why cant they just have "Golden State Warriors Ink Turiaf To Deal"...........obviously mention the fact that the Fakers had to let him go because of there loaded team.

God damn pisses me off, at the very least, treat us like every one else in the damned league, where every f*cking free agent signing, from Brent Barry to Dooling, gets its own headline and story. :banghead:

Why the agita about the title of the story? It is true; Bynum being healthy did make Turiaf expendable. Bynam is a better player. That being said, Turiaf is a good player and should fit in well with the Warriors. Unfortunately, the Warriors seem to be a team that can only pick up the Lakers' second tier players...sigh...
