Someone stuck this note on my car this am ... probably from the Santa Rosa
Press Democrat ...

Harold "Bunny" Levitt, who made a record in 1935 by sinking 499 consecutive free throws with his underhanded style and traveled with the Harlem Globetrotters demonstrating his shooting prowess, died Sunday of natural causes at Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Fla. He was 96

"I missed on my 500th shot."
"I must have choked," Levitt said in a 2005 interview.

Though he missed his 500th shot, Levitt nevertheless went on to shoot 871 out of 872 in another free throw contest.

SoCô¿ôL !!!

Only thing I found on google

Yeah, I remember reading about that in Dr. Tom Amberry's book about free throws. Dr. Tom Amberry is the guy the warriors should hire.

You mean ... "better free throw shooter" ... in a game ... in the heat of the action when one plays forty minutes of non stop .. except for an occasional free throw ... nba action ???

Hello ???

Number Two ALLTIME IN THE HISTORY OF THE NBA ... Rick Barry

Dr. Who ??? :D

NBA players don't feel the pressure very much if they are any good (which rick barry is). I doubt rick barry shoots much better in practice than in a game in which case he's not as good as Amberry who is over a 99% free throw shooter. Amberry made 2700+ free throws in a row and 2500+ in a row many other times. I'd like to see Barry do that. Not only that but his ideas are great. Within a month of buying Amberry's book I had improved my FT% by over 10% and made over 100 free throws in a row myself.

I like the testimonial ... :D
Especially the part about 100 shots :D

Rick points out in his shooting clinic that exceeding a certain number or so in a row got pretty boring ... and unproductive for a person in his position.
I especially like to recall that Rick Barry was and is MULTI-FACETED.

It isn't like he had One Skill.

PS ... He's also "famous" for repeatedly pointing out ... he never felt any "pressure."

I do notice, although at my age I'm not currently playing a lot of basketball ô¿~ ... it makes a difference if yo'er running up and down the court and then are shooting a free throw, etc.

As a positive thinking coach, I would point out that one positive motivation for making the shot is, you certainly wouldn't want to stand up there and miss it too many times ... underhand :dontknow: :withstupid: \:D/

... are doing right now about their free throw percentage?

Season's Over ?
I 'reckon one would be wise to "keep in shape?" Develop additional skills?
Most, I would suspect, still enjoy shooting the basketball?

Do you suppose someone like Andris sets goals? at the free throw line?
Jason? Baron? The Team? The Coaches?

What's a good goal nowadays? From the free throw line?
What would, ARE, they doing in the off season to strengthen their
game ... from the free throw line?

Should Andris set a goal like 70 percent? Is this "realistic" ... "achieveable" ... between now and the first day of camp? the second day  ?

Do you wonder like I do?

Do you suppose someone like Andris would "dare" read something like the Golden State Warrior Bulletin Board ... and respond? Any other Warrior?

Want to see a good movie ???

common misconception but he's actually #3 in nba history behind mark price and.... Mahmoud Abdul Rauf. The NBA didn't like mahmo so you know what they did? He attempted 1161 fts I believe, so they made the minimum you needed to get on the list 1500 attempts and kicked him out of the league.
