LOL, what was he thinking making those comments?

Not only was it stupid for his reputation, but he just cost himself some money from endorsements.

He was a great athlete who has the right to say anything that he wants, including bigoted statements. Unfortunately, he has made statements that come across as hateful, bigoted, and just plain stupid.

I'm still a Hardaway fan.

This is like these people who makes a big deal out of something Bill Clinton, Don Nelson, Pete Rose, ect are doing when they're off the clock.

Honestly, whatever a guy does OUTSIDE of his job doesn't matter to me. Hardaway was a phenominal player... and a noted part of Warrior History. These comments should take nothing away from him, as a basketball player.

Yeah, I feel the same. I'm a fan of Timmy as a bball player, not as anything else. Whatever he does outside the court is not related to what he did on the court.

Hardaway should not have said any of that publicly. It ruins his image. Not for me, but for the majority of the nations population it does. It was a stupid move and it should have been kept to himself. Showing hatred towards homosexuals is almost as bad as showing hatred for a religion or race no-a-days in the majority of the public's eye.

I haven't lost any respect for him because of this, but many, many people around the nation have. I don't even care that Hardaway said this! We all have a biased opinion of this because Hardaway was a huge part of the Warriors.

wtf was this guy thinking…he was well respected and played for a team in the bay area which is the "gayest" place to play…such a dumb ****…he just totally fucked himself and his career with espn and his legacy as a player. :roll:

Yeah, but Marv didn't hate on anybody, he just likes things really kinky. If ESPN will can Harold Reynolds for something that still hasn't come to full light I would be surprised if they will continue to have an open door for Timmy.

Not to mention Miami, another gay hotbed he ended up at. Maybe thats the problem. He should have gone to Indiana!
