The Ws now have 11 mobile players now. Lots of speculation about who will start and so on.

Here is an idea: Coach Attles ran human wave attacks in that 1975 championship season. He did not substitute five at a time, but he definitely had a platoon system going. Everyone played real and important minutes.

That second team was real fast and pretty good. Granted, he had a true superstar in Barry, but a lot of the success was due to the opposition being really tired in the second half.

The Ws do not have the best starting five in the game, and do not have a real superstar, but their depth of talent is very deep, maybe the best?, and should not be wasted watching from the bench.

Nelson has the temperment, I think, to do this, it works, it keeps players happy, everyone contributes. It is fun to watch, too.

Yeah, it's an option. Actually, it will likely happen, but not to everybody... Some players, like Baron and, to a lesser extent, Biedrins are too good or lack a true backup for that system.

I can see Nellie doing that for the forward spots and SG (we'll see what happens once J-Rich is back, tho), not so much at C and PG.

Al Attles's team also played tenacious defense.

The similarities between the two teams lie in how on any given night a different player with a hot hand can step up and get more minutes. During the championship year, Rick Barry was the one constant; however, Derek Dickey, Charles Dudley, Butch Beard, Charles Johnson, Keith Wilkes (Jeff Mullin was injured for most of that season), even George Johnson, all stepped up on various nights.

This year's team should have Baron Davis as the one constant with everyone else stepping up during the season. With Stephen Jackson, we now have two lanky defenders (Pietrus being the other) who can man up on guys like Kobe. Also, Stephen Davis brings an edgy on-court attitude that has been missing from this team since the departure of Spree. Also, with the new additions, Barnes can come in off the bench as a change of pace, light it up guy.

This trade should work out well for both teams. Style-wise, the players are all now a better fit for each respective organization.

Yeah, the nice thing about this team is that, while we still aren't very good defensively, we have a team that has as many offensive weapons as a team has ever had.
BD could go for 20 ppg on many teams
Jrich could go for 24 ppg on many teams
Al could go for 18 ppg on many teams
Monta could go for 18 ppg on many teams
Jackson could go for 18 ppg on many teams
MP could go for 15 ppg on many teams
AB, Azubuike, Jasikevicius, and Barnes have also proven themselves to be capable double digit contributors when they get the minutes.

That is a heck of a lot of scoring options when we're healthy

Just hope that selfishness doesn't appear and eventually lead to forced trades because of bad chemistry. The team looks great and the last thing that is needed is bad attitudes

That could be the problem of this trade. Both Al and SJax love to shoot. They want it in their hands. That will be a problem when Jason comes back.
