Childress is productive and versatile but Harrington will want too much money, otherwise he would be alright.
The best thing for the team is to package alot of players, such as Murphy, dun, Fisher and baron, along with this draft's 1st pick for a real superstar and one established player. That would make way for Diogu and also Monta Ellis, while also giving the team better talent. The young guys like Pietrus and taft would still be here and only get better

I'd do BD, Zarko ( and if we have to, MP ) for the two Joshua's. I'd even add our 06' second rounder and maybe both from 07 to sweeten the deal. It looks like a decent package. With that being said I'd draft Uconn's Williams this year. Yes, we'd still be a little weak@the 1, and another year with the Fish would kill some posters but a Fish/Monta/Williams would suffice + Fish won't be around much longer. I have a feeling that we'll have 2 first rounders in 07---***030***---

Giving up way too much for both Joshs! Baron himself is worth almost both of them. Childress looks nice but Smith is really looking like he is going to be a real star very soon!
I'd give Baron (Hawks need a PG) and Murphy for JJohnson and Smith if the salaries worked. JJ could play PG if he could handle it and Josh Smith would be a great SF. Smith blocks shots very well!

Aha! Your the guest! Yeah I know its alot and BD IS worth those two alone but the fact that we can get both for no more than ( assuming we extend them ) 14 million over the next 5-9 years is nice. In the long run it works out great. Don't think they'd part ways with JJ too ( they'd really have to throw $$@Harrington ). Just wishful thinking.

I wouldn't! Baron is a real PG while JJ has been decent but is really more of a SG that can play PG sometimes. I reckon Baron could get more than just JJ anyway.
Josh Smith is the most valuable on the Hawks right now as he can do it all and is going to become a star next season. The Hawks might just let Harington go since Smith is emerging so well.

Except shooting. And his handles are nothing to be proud of. He needs to work on those two if he wants to be succesful as a SF.

The last couple of months the guy has been hitting threes regularly! That covers the shooting and if not, he'll get it done this offseason! He is someone that the whole nba will want once his contract is up, so getting him now would make it easier when resigning!
Baron and Murphy would have to excite the Hawks management as they need a PG a Murphy is a better rebounder than anyone they have right now! For those two, Mullin could get Smith and JJ

Whaaaaaat?. I doubt we could get JJ for Baron alone... At least I wouldn't do it if I were the Hawks GM.
I think Childress is going to be the odd man out in Atlanta...

JJ has done real well but Baron is more of a PG and if Harrington were to stay, they need someone to look to get the ball to all their players that can score (which is quite a few) and Baron gets the assists a little more than JJ.
JJ would probably not fit in the Warriors as he would have to always be the PG and I'm not sure he can do that full time. Sometimes yes but he is more of a SG.
Childress will definately be the oddman out if Harrington resigns, otherwise he will either move starting SF with Smith going to PF or he wil stay on the bench with Marvin Williams going to starting SF. Childress is a good player and the Hawks won't let him go that easily, not yet anyway
Since we're on this dicussion, JJ wouldn't play PG for us, more a 2/3 with good ballhandling skills. The bulk of hanling would be Fish,Monta, JJ & Dun. We'd most likely either retain Bynum and/or draft Uconn's Williams. Almost nobody can replace BD's talent and flair, but I bet we'd be able to @ least get a more " effecient " PG next year.---***030***---

I've said recently that Baron is tradeable and he is, but only where another PG, one that is decent at least, is attained in return! I don't think Ellis and Fisher would do anything near an adequate job next season, unless Ellis becomes good real quick at PG! Baron still is better than almost every PG in the nba and that can't be let go so easily!
A nice potential trade would Baron, Murphy and dun or Fisher for Pierce and Delonte West. At least there we get a good and emerging PG in return and we also get a great SF, which we don't have right now!
JJ is good and has shown that he can be a very good PG but I don't know whether he could defend the great PG all the time
