Tbh, Jordan never got this kind of disrespect. EVERYONE from old legends to average people say they want a piece of Curry. Is it because of the baby face?

Last year the narrative was we were lucky. Now some of the players are bowing to Steph, but the ex players and hater fans are claiming they could stop Steph Curry.

Until they do - then they want no parts of him. It's funny because it's just like you said, current players know better - players have been saying for years that he's easily the hardest PG to guard, but now they're saying he might be the hardest of any position - yet the ignorance of those that have hardly seen him play, let alone played against him, is baffling.

How do to stop a guy that can shoot over 50% from over 30', has one of the quickest releases in history, has probably the best handles in the game, and doesn't even need to see the basket (as proven by the countless 3s he's made with a 7 footer in his face)? If Steph Curry wants 30 pts, he's gonna get 30 pts, and there isn't any thing you can do about it. Hell, it could probably be 50 if he was selfish.

The only thing that could be debated is screens. We do get away with quite a bit of no calls, but still....that doesn't diminish Curry's level of play. He's taking any type of a window to launch the ball...and he's nailing it.

Screens is one thing, but many consider that a risk vs reward scenario - just like taking charges. What i think you mean is we win despite not getting our share of foul calls. Curry is easily the most fouled non-big in the game, he also takes the 2nd most shots, yet he's the only firmly established star player, besides LeBron, to not get his share of foul calls. He's barely in the top 25 in FTA - and it has nothing to do with his 3FA.

Remember the refs' policy in last year's playoffs of waiting to see if the shot was good before blowing the whistle? Yeah, Curry still gets that treatment in the regular season.

I started writing an article-type post about it, which i might still post, but there's plenty of evidence oto suggest that Curry is treated worse than an undrafted FA.

I think that's a much larger discrepancy than moving screens.

Reed, does that mean that Curry isn't a superstar? I mean Fitz said the day Curry gets labeled as a superstar, he'd get the whistle. The NBA legends all complain that Curry isn't allowed to be touched, which would imply nobody fouling him.

The game has changed so its impossible to put a current player in another era and predict what he would and won't be able to do. Saying that Curry would average 12 points a game in the 90s is just ridiculous. The game was much more physical in the 70s, 80s and 90s but that doesn't mean they didn't call fouls so you can't just go out there and manhandle someone like this guy in the video is talking about. And what he said about Curry can be said about most players in the league today. You think guys like Chris Paul could take the physicality? James Harden would cry after every game and all these unskilled bigs getting by with their athleticism would get destroyed by Olajuwon.
