He is a bad player in this Memphis series. Gasol and Randolph are just killing him inside. It's not even a contest. He is getting embarrassed. He is a very emotional player too. He's tough for his size but like Barkley said he is a shrimp.

We need someone with more size, more length.

We also need someone that can take the ball to the hole.

Warriors are a 2nd round exit now. It's disgusting. Since Curry got MVP, he's playing like a high schooler. It's over.

But we need to prepare for next year. We need a lot of help.

This series is far from over, but I agree don't give Green the max. I never thought he was a max player. He is a Boris Diaw type player...valuable, smart, versatile, defense-minded, tough, grinder...but ultimately, a super-role player. His jump shot isn't reliable when push comes to shove, and his post-game is non-existent. Try to keep him but no where near a max player.

Good post, but Rocky don't kid yourself. This series is over. Why is that? Because they said Curry and Klay would never shoot poorly again and they did. They can't even make free throws. Part of that is the Grizzlies have grinded them down and made them work so hard. That and the fact that their mentality is not there. This series is over. Warriors cannot crack 100 points. We probably lose game 4, win game 5, then get closed out in game 6.

Stairway, you're the king of pessimism and knee-jerk reactions. I'm sure you pride yourself on being a realist, while it's really anything but. What is the team supposed to do?

Like Lacob said, we probably won't have a choice in the matter since someone else will offer Green at least near max. Do you think good PFs and DPoY candidates grow on trees? Or do you think his regular season performance (and last series, and game 1, and last year's playoffs) was just a fluke? Or would you rather we go back to the consistent mediocrity of the Jackson warriors?

Oh yeah, the series isn't a over, and nobody is kidding themselves by believing that. The Grizz still need to win 2 more.

The reason it's over is because Memphis just has to give their ball to Randolph and score 3 feet away. That's a much more probable play than relying on the Splash Bros to be blazing hot. Plus no Mo Speights, so David lee has to be your savior. So the only way Warriors win is by playing hero ball and the problem is that Allen and Conley are very capable of defending shots. We are better than them, but we match up HORRIFICLY with them. Like Rod Brooks said, the Warriors might be up to the task 2nite but Memphis is down with it.

I agree that Green is not a max money player but he is pretty close to it. Like Jreed said, someone else will offer him max money and we have to hope that he is happy to take less money to stay with a talented team like the Warriors. He may not be the traditional power forward, low post scoring presence that we all desire but is a rare player who can shoot 3's, play D(and defend every position on the court) and is an essential part of this team that just won 67 regular season games. Curry may be the MVP but there is no doubt that Green is the heart and soul of this team.

Erroneous post. Green is the heart and soul of this team on defense. Steph & Klay are Jordan and Pippen; Draymond is this team's Rodman. You pay the man and you pay him whatever it takes.
