As it stands, the Warriors are sitting in the 6th position but only 3.5 games separate them from the 9th team in the West (Utah). Checking out the remaining games for the Warriors, this will be a close one for them to hold onto the 6th or even 7th spot. Currently, they're 37-29 with 16 games left and my predictions:
Fri 15 vs Chicago Win
Sun 17 @ Houston Loss
Mon 18 @ New Orleans Win
Wed 20 @ San Antonio Loss
Sat 23 vs Washington Win
Mon 25 vs L.A. Lakers Loss
Wed 27 vs Sacramento Win
Sat 30 vs Portland Win
Wed 3 vs New Orleans Win
Fri 5 @ Phoenix Win
Sun 7 vs Utah Loss
Tue 9 vs Minnesota Win
Thu 11 vs Oklahoma City Loss
Fri 12 @ L.A. Lakers Loss
Mon 15 vs San Antonio Loss
Wed 17 @ Portland Win
This would have them finish 46-36. I think the Lakers will leap frog them. They're playing great basketball now and have won 14 of their last 20. They also have a fluff schedule to finish their season. In their last 16 games they have games against the Minnesota, Sacramento twice, Washington, New Orleans, Houston and Milwaukee. I think they can easily finish 13-3 and at 47-35. I think Houston will fall out of the 8 spot to the Jazz which would put the Warriors in the 7th seed with a possible 1st round match up against the Thunder.

Lakers Loss Mon 15 vs San Antonio Loss Wed 17 @ Portland Win There are certain games that we should win, but last couple of months have not been the case. What is important to me is how we play, the intensity we bring on the defensive side, how Bogut progresses, how others mainly Landry and Jarret Jack step their game up, and most importantly Jackson's coaching. The schedule is mixed up with elite teams and scrub teams, but nowadays we don't know which warriors will come to play. |
