How's Andrew Bogut's Rehab going?

Yes, he certainly would have helped keep Cousins a little quiter. He's gone off twice against the Warriors already this year. But I felt Bogut's presence was needed more against Orlando. Cousins is a stud. Him going off, I can handle. Vucevic, Nicholson, and Big Baby having career night's? That's wayyy harder for me to accept.

I've seen both sides of the Bogut debate and I'm unfortunately back to where I started. In the opening pages of this thread, the one thing I feared was aloofness that made Bogut's stay on the DL uncertain and indefinite. When they declared he was ready for the season, I was stoked. And when Bogut claimed he could handle more minutes, I was all but convinced. Then he went back on the shelf.
And, NEWS FLASH... It's been 41 days. As of tomorrow, Bogut will have been deactivated for 6 weeks. That's 28 games... 35% of the season. I've gone from patient to impatient to straight up indifferent. I'm beginning to believe the whispers about Bogut never getting back to full health; the turpedo from Milwaukee who must have known he was THIS dinged up. Yeah, I hope he comes back... But at this point, Bogut isn't even on the roster to me. I have officially begun the journey of moving on. In my eyes, Festus Ezeli is the starting center. And I dunno if that'll change this season anymore. I'd love to be wrong. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

Agreed. I, at times, completely forget that he is the member of this team. We are lucky that we are playing so good without him, so he is not really needed anymore. I would go that far to say that I would trade him, for Gay, if we need Gay that much.

We need another bonafide starter.
Lee's playing his ass off, but Landry has slowed down, Jack won't keep up his pace all year, and what happens if Curry rolls his ankle? Bogut, Gay, whoever. The team needs an extra boost as insurance for when the good times hit a snag. ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

Man the Warriors can't catch any luck paying franchise big mans.. a trainwreck this last decade.
We've gone from Dampier Foyle Biedrins & Now Bogut. Foyle and Beidrins are the team stiffs who couldn't hit free throws and were useless offensively inside Dampier and Bogut are the kind of gifted offensive weapons who are always injured. How I'd loathe to see a bit of Danny Forston playing Centre!!! That's going back a few years but he was like a David Lee Double Double machine. I think he was getting like 15 or 16 rebounds a game midway through the season. |

Curry hyperextended that knee last night.
He played through it, but we'll see how spry he feels by Wednesday. If Stephen Curry goes down, it's officially high alert to Andrew Bogut. Wrap up that stay-cation, bro. Time to get to work and contribute to the team in more ways that simply giving Ezeli the run down before tip off. I certainly understand that this team is young and full of years and that this season has no urgency to it; if holding out Bogut can ensure he'll be 100%, I understand that's the smart choice. But I think it's time to quit torturing the fans with this aloof, vague, non-committal sh*t. We'll buy tickets whether Bogut's in the lineup or not. Just be honest with us, team. Is he coming back or not? ![]() GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS DIE HARD ![]() ![]() |

Another thing that is disgusting re all the injuries is that not only warior PR team won't speak truth about the situation, now the players aren't allowed to talk about the injury untill they return.
So here we are, fucked up in a trade (wasting years of lee's prime and having one legged team trying to hop onot the playoffs), fucked up in the jan-feb schedule and fucked up in managing our hopes. "i wish i was a little bit taller" skee lo

The season's not lost yet. Don't forget; We Believe finished the year 16-5 to sneak into the playoffs. The Warriors just can't bury themselves in this 2 month stretch. Tread water, survive, keep the ship afloat until Curry and/or Bogut get back. But you can't rattle off a couple 5 game losing streaks in a month. They definitely need to pull themselves together.

I'm not saying season is lost, but it sure tests a lot less sweet right now.
Cue some losing streaks and we are .500 team in a matter of 20 games. We believe seasson had no major injury asterixes all over it and it had an amazing trade to get them out of a slump with at least three veteran starting players. This one has nothing like it and not many trading chips. With curry out we essiantly have neither pg, nor sg. Thompson and his boneheadedness the last two games does not ispire confidence in me - if he isn't shooting well, he isn't contributing. He can't defend two's, so esentially we have one combo guard and two SFs in the starting lineup, who are not very good ball movers. Where do we get our offense from? Unless Lee starts dishing 10 assists from all over the floor, this team is packed in by defenses. We are not quick enough to create kick out play making style, and with two non-threats from three point land (ezeli, lee and I would even construct virtual one from jack and barnes), we don't spread the floor enough for Lee to operate, for Thompson to get set shots. And we are not fast enough to be playing denver type of chaotic run and gun basketball. Curry out means - very very ugly team on offense. And, no, our defense is not that good to be honest. We foul a lot, cause we can't stay with our man. And we let offenses to shoot threes quite alot. So good three point shooting teams will have our number either by having open shots, or by blowing by our slow defenders for fouls. I repeat, no curry means we are done. Ailing (not aggressive) curry means we have some chance. Bogut... If he gets back, he'll play several games and will go down. His ankle is done, for what I know. As well, as curry's might be in near future. And then we are in a very bad position with average players for years to come. We got lucky dallas, minny, lakers fell behind because of injury (and not chronic ones, mind you) issues. But while minny might not hold over the water, if curry gets an extended injury sit out (say 2-3 weeks), dallas will be knocking on our door, I assume lakers as well, and then it's a dogfight among 5 teams (la, warriors, houston, porland, utah) for 3 positions. Consider me pessimist but without curry, or with ailing curry, we lose our next 4 games, and all the distance we created is lost in a heartbeat. "i wish i was a little bit taller" skee lo

I must say I'm disappointed in Andrew Bogut. I'm starting to wonder if he is just being lazy. Last year while in tank mode, I kept noticing him on the bench, and that was understandable after what he went through. Now, a year later he is stuck in the same chair as if he never moved. The odds of him getting healthy and staying healthy...
In some ways I feel that the Warriors are just returning to their old roots and could drop below .500 very quickly. |
